Anyone know how to Clean a Pool

I have a pool that we let friends of our borrow and I ended up getting it back this past weekend. Well I don’t know if they ever cleaned it, but before I set it up in my yard, I cleaned it the best I could and now there are the tiniest little dirt specs all over in it. I’ve tried shocking it, using a net and even a pool vacuum, but the specks are way too small. Even the filter isn’t picking them up. Help please!

My pool has ash all over the bottom after all the fires in So.Cal. The automatic pool cleaner is picking most of it up in the pool, but it doesn’t clean the spa. Should I drain the spa, or is there some way to clean the water?

In other words, is there anything around the house that i can use to clean my filter? I have heard that Dawn dish soap works but i don’t know for sure. i need a response from someone who knows for sure.
Polaris Pool Cleaner 380: Not working

My Polaris Pool Cleaner 380 is not working.?
Hello, Here are the details in bullet form for ease of read thank you very much.
- Bought new pool filter last year – uses diatomaceous earth(sp?) – Works Great!
- Paid almost 0 to have my 380 reworked. Was told the only thing left to replace was the hose.
- Cleaned the Polaris filter for the first time in 1yr (didn’t know to clean it) It was ‘very’ dirty.
- Then, reattached the Polaris to the wall. Turned it on – doesn’t work.
- Wheels won’t turn. Brought it back to pool store. They said the wheels needed to be adjusted.
- Reattached it and still doesn’t work
- Replaced the quick release valve because I was loosing a lot of pressure there. New one still loses the pressure.
- Wheels have no RPM when on.
- A lot of water is coming through the bag and the tail seems to be sweeping at regular pace.
- The blue nor red pressure regulator rings are on the attachment that goes into the wall.
Should I have just purchased a new one?
Above Ground Pool Cleaner Maintenance

3 days ago we bought an above ground pool (about 3 ft. deep) and i let the filter run and put a chlorine tablet in a floating disc, but is there anything else that i need to do or buy to make sure that the pool stays clean and clear?? the manuals weren’t very informative. i appreciate any help.
