***** Brand new Redesigned in 2009 for the 2010 Season, the added 2nd stage Copper Ionization Process produces a powerful "natural Algaecide" when combined with traces of Chlorine to effectively control algae growth ***** This Chlorinator/Chlorine Generator/Saltwater system is designed for Intex pool set 15' or larger with a properly matched/sized intex filter pump w/ 1000~4000gph. It might also be compatible with other above ground pool system, however, we do not guaranteed the compatibility of the products. No more red, burning eyes, faded clothes, and pool liners! Simply hook the Intex saltwater generator into the pool's water flow as directed, add the specified amount of salt, and the Chlorine Generator will do the rest. The pool's water is converted to an effective algaecide - and since salt doesn't evaporate or dissipate as chlorine does, the constant addition of chemicals is a thing of the past. I purchased this over a month ago. Watched the dvd, setup was easy. I put 4 bags of salt in and the chlorine has been perfect amd it doesn’t taste salty and looks clear everyday:)I am very happy I went to salt water this year.

Very good set-up directions. I was a little anxious after seeing a couple of negative reviews, but product worked well. Trouble-shooting directions and indicators are great. First salt chlorinator I’ve had and that’s all I’ll have from now on. I recommend.

I keep waiting for the other shoe to fall…, I set up my 18×52 ultra frame, added 4 bags of salt and turned on just the filter pump and let it operate for 24 hours like the directions said, I sorta swished the salt around with the sweep and it diluted into solution. Well then I held my breath and turned on the salt system, unlocked it on the keypad and set it to operate for 6 hours, and you know what…., it has worked perfectly since then. NO error codes, no low salt or high salt, no nothin… it just keeps on makin chlorine. Either those other baboons got lemons or they just didn’t set it up right. This just can’t be any easier. Oh I did run the copper boost for 10 hours one night. It worked fine. This unit comes on every night, works for 6 hours, and then shuts down and I do have the filter to continue for 2 hours after that… according to directions. However, I do taste a bit of salt in the water, but nothing that I would even complain about.

We have recommended this product to everyone we know who has a pool. Easy set up, just add salt, turn it on and let it run. being a previous pool owner I know what a hassle it is to do the once a week or once a month shock treatments, the weekly or daily chlorine treatments, checking the chlorine levels every day, etc., but with this unit we set it up for our size pool, added salt right to the pool, turned the unit on and left it alone. I swear, we checked the chlorine level MAYBE three time the whole summer, I am dead serious! Our pool was crystal clear all summer long, no algae build up at all and we didn’t do anything except put salt into the pool at the beginning.
When people talk about maintenance free, this is what they are talking about! I am serious … buy this unit!!!

I ordered this item on July 27th, recieved it on July 31st. Wish I had this for the first 2 years I had my intex pool. Three easy steps to install on a 1500 gph pump. 1. Connect unit between pump and return. 2. Test water and add salt to required level, circulate for 24 hrs. 3. Program unit and forget it. I would definately recommend this for any above ground pool, and commend Crosslake Sales for prompt delivery.
